SEEDS OF ASSISI 1V, V
CWSP:  SPECIAL PEOPLE SERIES
Franciscans and Francis are loved by so many. We easily sold out of the first 3 editions. Our most popular chaplets ever. Now two simple choices

USING MATERIALS AT HAND?
I saw a simple rosary used by the Franciscans in a mission museum in Southern California.  It was very natural, probably dk brown clay beads, strung with clear, colored glass Pater beads. Probably trade beads. It had no dividers, all the beads were strung together with no spaces in between them.  And no crucifix at the end.  The Padre may have lost his traditional one from home and made one out of materials at hand near the Mission or it belonged to a native who converted to Christianity.

SEEDS WITH A HISTORY OF PRAYER
Rudraksha seeds from the Himalayas, make a wonderfully textured prayer counter and have a long history as prayer beads in many cultures.  The natural, rough texture reminds us of the hand woven garments of Francis and his followers in the 12s.  Turquoise makes a very tactile Prayer Bead for medication. Each, very different, each formed by the word of the mouth of God.

ETHIOPIAN CROSS INFLUENCED?
(for larger images click icons above)
+
Variegated brown / black dyed buri root bead gives this chaplet an essence of the Franciscans. the Pater is a beautiful, hand carved and antiqued brown bone. The cross, Ethiopian in origin, may have been influenced by the early Celtic Cross as missionary Irish Monks traveled through the Mediterranean Sea to Asia, Europe and Ethiopia.

SYMBOLISM THROUGH COLOR
We believe the RosaryWorkshop.com is being directed to make our rosaries a more visual and symbolic journey of the dedication than it has in the past. You will not only see more of this direction used through color choices but in texture. When you see them, we hope you will be more visually in touch with the story.  And when you pray them we hope 2000 years of history will melt. Not only with Our Lady as she tells the story of her beloved son, but with the one to whom the rosary is dedicated or the scripture passage that inspired it. We hope and pray this will help open up a 4th and new dimension of spirituality in your heart.
