Hardly noticeable, but is translucent with inclusions of blue. One of the titles of Mary in the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the 'Ark of the Covenant.' They are all so beautiful. You definitely don't make it easy to choose from, that's for sure. I am sure that my daughter will cherish them not only for her first communion with that special medal attached but for the rest of her life.
