USING THE ANCIENT
TECHNIQUE CALLED 'LAMPWORK'
A deep pink with gold stone flecks and a band of mossy green makes this handmade bead fit for a rosary that will give glory to the Lord through Mary. One can almost 'smell the roses' when looking at this one.

AVE BEADS: Each handmade bead is carefully set with two beautiful handmade glass rosebuds.  No two are alike and none were painted on.  Gold flecks give each bead a heavenly appearance, as if Mary herself brought this heavenly glory with her on her earthly visit. All this, encased in a crystal clear bead! PATER BEADS: Crystal clear faceted Austrian crystal from Swarovski. Each capped in antiqued filigrees reminding us of the antique filigree rosaries.

~ CASTILIAN ROSES ~
HOW DID THEY GET THERE?
How did Castilian Roses grow and bloom on that cold, December barren hill of Tepeyac (Mexico) in 1531? Did the Lord use man to transplant the seeds? Or were the seeds carried there by birds or in some other mystical way? We know by the Codex (Records) that seeds and plants were studied and brought back to Europe from New Spain. This was standard procedure.
+
We know that many young Castilians came to New Spain as fortune seekers only to discover the Lord had different plans for their lives. As Priests and Brothers, they helped lay a solid groundwork in advance of Mary’s coming to Tenochtitlan. (Mexico City). Possibly they brought seeds to remind them of home. We can only wonder. But it is interesting to note that these roses were called Castilian. Was she confirming her visit to St Dominic in 1208? St Dominic was born in Old Castile Spain.

TAKING ALL THAT
INTO CONSIDERATION
In no way does this remove the mystery of the abundance of the rosary of roses on the barren hill, where even in Mexico it is too cold in December for roses to bloom. And certainly not in rocky soil.
