Jacinta was born in Aljustrel Portugal on 11 March 1910, died a 'holy death' according those who knew her on 20 February 1920 in Lisbon. Jacinta had many friends but Lucia, her cousin was clearly her favorite. At Fatima, Mary revealed herself to the children as 'Our Lady of the Rosary' emphasizing the praying of the rosary daily to all of her children. Today, we are called to pick up our rosaries and pray them more than ever before. + THE CHILDREN AND THE ROSARY The children of Fatima would say a short rosary each day after lunch, repeating the title only, on each bead. 10 'Hail Mary - Holy Mother' and 1 'Our Father'. That changed after Mary, Our Lady of the Rosary, came to visit and corrected them! + LUCIA / FRANCISCO / JACINTA
DANCING SUN / OUR LADY'S LAMP Originally we named this rosary, 'The Dancing Sun' because of the phenomena of the sun because Jacinta loved to dance! When we discovered the children called the sun, 'Our Lady's Lamp' - the title changed! + MATTHEW 18:2

Note the textured surface that makes these beads such a delight as they have a character we rarely see today. This color of blue also calls us in a special way, to prayer as a reminder of Our Lady. The fact that they are transparent adds to their heavenly color of Mary' garment. PATER BEADS: Chosen as they reminded us of little lanterns in their shape.
