FRAGMENTS OF ANCIENT GRECO ROMAN
GLASS?
![]() |
|
This remarkable Pater bead is hand made by Basha. Each one of her beads is very different, each looking as if it was excavated glass from an ancient Greco Roman site. The surface is mostly matted, a bit of shine here and there - but the inner beauty is what captures the eye. Elements of iridescent blues, golds, purples, greens and fragments of reds spark forth here and there from deep in the heart of the bead. She has imaged these to be very similar to Labradorite. Very, very limited - unrepeatable. FACETED PYRITE IS RARE ... ... as are the matte moss 4 mm faceted spacers. Cross is 18 - 19c Ethiopian (Imaged here in bronze, our favorite.) |

Above you see a sampling of Basha's hand made beads in the 'Labradorite' Line. She has many other rare and beautiful color combinations, incuding her most recent called 'Pasha' (using tiny fragments of dichroic glass in richer hues.) The Tear Drop beads above are about 1 inch from end to end. Labradorite Colors are more muted than shown above, giving the appearance of ancient Greco Roman glass unearthed in an archival dig after thousands of years in the earth. Each one is handmade using the lampwork method. |

We believe the RosaryWorkshop.com is being directed to make our rosaries a more visual and symbolic journey of the dedication than it has in the past. You will not only see more of this direction used through color choices but in texture. When you see them, we hope you will be more visually in touch with the story. And when you pray them we hope 2000 years of history will melt. Not only with Our Lady as she tells the story of her beloved son, but with the one to whom the rosary is dedicated or the scripture passage that inspired it. We hope and pray this will help open up a 4th and new dimension of spirituality in your heart. |
