NO TWO ALIKE, NEVER TO BE REPEATED
A remarkable - one of a kind Klew bead chaplets . Two sizes shown below. The smaller Klew bead is about .75in and the larger is 1.75 inches. Each chaplet boasts an incredible hand made Pater bead by California artist, Karen Lewis. No two are exactly alike. These beads are remarkably tough, growing in beauty as they are prayed over the years. She is only able to make a limited number in any one combination of color and design. Once gone, there is no way to repeat it.

Each color you see is a different piece of clay. She has layered and sliced each design sequence very thin to create these remarkable beads. Note the rich variegation of the foundation bead that the appliqued designs cover. Our images do not do them justice. The Ave beads are either antiqued bone or textured brown bodhi seeds.

CHAPLET: bone and hand made bead by Klews

A smaller chaplet using the round Klew bead as the Pater and antiqued bone for the Ave beads. This series uses only round Klew beads, no two exactly alike, the two above are from the same 'batch' but we have a great selection in our personal collection, just waiting to be chosen!

Antique glass amethyst flower caps surround the handmade Klew bead. Wooden Aves (Bodhi seeds) are divided by faceted glass rondelles giving off a spark of light here and there and setting off the matte finish on the other beads.

~ ABOUT KLEW BEADS ~

ONE OF A KIND
Handmade beads by Karen Lewis, American bead artist. Each one of a kind but run in series so are similar in a limited series. Each color is a different piece of clay, nothing is painted on. These beads are very tough, tougher than most glass. We have seen beads over 5 years old under constant use that are more beautiful than the day they were designed. It was on a key chain and had not lost any of its original design. They gained a beautiful patina that only age and use can give.

The ones imaged above are long gone, never to be repeated again.
