Fine turquoise rondelles hold up this Ethiopian cross that is hinged. 4 little birds, one on each corner give it its name. And on the right, faceted sodalite rondelles with lt blue gemstones embrace this exquisite Guadalupan medal. 18 in each. |

From antique to vintage glass to various woods, each 18 in necklace is complete with a hand cast metal crucifix. Each cast from antique or vintage pieces in sterling silver or solid bronze then antiqued to bring back the original patina. Tiny little glass hearts embrace Kristen's neck giving way to three piquet's reminding her of the triune God. Heart beads are called 'Two Window' or 'Table Cuts'Design comes from an old glass bead mold. Kristen is CZ and so are the beads! |

Natural stones, (upper left) mixed with iolite, sugalite and labradorite merge in on a silver and marcasite bead center front. Antique Greek cross is of Mary and Jesus. And right, Turquoise from the Compitos Mine (Mexico) carries tiny deposits of pyrite that catch the light in delightful ways. Cross: Cast from antique Ethiopian piece. |

I really like these new choker necklaces and plan to give them as gifts to my family, not only for Christmas but I have some birthday gifts to buy. The other day I took these necklaces for my girls to see and when our (Carol from the workshop and her husband John and I share grandbabies since our kids married one another) 2 year old granddaughter, Lexi saw them, she firmly took the turquoise one out of her mothers hands and put it on. None of us was going to argue with that decision - so we just left it on her (mainly because she was not going to give it up!) It certainly was an affirmative vote from a little girl who would easily grow into it!
