KNOT SHAPED MATTE BLACK GLASS - ANTIQUE PATERS
This is one of our very first rosaries and one of the most popular we have ever made.  We simply ran of some of the beads so have made a new edition which we like even better.  Why? Because we found these wonderful hand made matted antique Pater beads from the 20s to 50s. The 8mm black glass beads shaped like knots remind us of early rosaries or prayer counters that were a series of knots tied in a rope.  Some of these prayer ropes are still being used by monks, brothers and priests, especially Eastern and Western rites.

We kept the large 3 inch bronze Ethiopian cross as it finishes off this rosary in an interesting way for those who prefer something different!  Very popular with both men and women.  There is no center on this rosary to keep it in the style of the old 19c rosaries. This is becoming a very popular style and many have asked if we can make others with centers without - an interesting trend that we like very much.
