Look closely at these Ave beads. I wish we could put them in your hands so you could see how natural they look - like  rocks of granite.  But something wonderful happens to these ordinary looking rocks. It is as if an unknown hand has cut facets into their surface and revealed an unexpected inner beauty!  When we first saw them, we could do nothing but marvel over how they spoke the words of Jesus, 'You are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church'. ... Peter, think if it - gravelly fisherman, betrayer, hardly the man one would expect the Lord to choose to be the keeper of the keys. Yet Jesus saw something inside of him and through the power of the Holy Spirit,  Peter became the keeper of the keys to heaven!

For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father.
