The soldiers
led him away inside the palace, that is, the praetorium, and assembled

a crown of thorns, placed it on him. (Mk 15:17)

And kneeling
before him, they mocked him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!" (Mt
27:29)

They spat upon
him and took the reed and kept striking him on the head. (Mt27:30)

When Pilate
saw that he was not succeeding ... he took water and washed his hands in
the sight of the crowd, saying, "I am innocent of this man's blood. Look
to it yourselves." (Mt 27:24)

Once more Pilate
went out and said to them, "Look, I am bringing him out to you, so that
you may know that I find no guilt in him." (John 19:4)

So Jesus came
out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple cloak. And he said to them,
"Behold, the man!" (John
19:4-5)

"Take him away, take him away! Crucify him!" (Mk 15:14)

Pilate said
to them, "Shall I crucify your king?" The chief priests answered, "We have
no king but Caesar." (John 19:15)
