"WHAT IS THE EMAIL ROSARY NETWORK?
The Rosary.Network
is a living rosary that - bead by unlinked bead - is surrounding the earth
with prayer. Each bead represents one person who prays the prayer
next to their name - as often as they find their reminder in their pocket.
As the list of these little prayers, beads and names grows, it eventually
forms a full rosary. This 'busy day prayer' is leading some into saying
a decade while driving - others - the whole rosary. )
"As the various
mysteries present themselves one after the
other in the
formula of the Rosary for the meditation and contemplation of men's minds,
they also elucidate what we owe to Mary for our reconciliation and salvation."
(Pope Leo XIII ON THE ROSARY -
FIDENTEM PIUMQUE ANIMUM SEPTEMBER
20, 1896)
ITS PURPOSE?
The purpose is
for unity and oneness in the broken body of Christ. We are especially
called to reconciliation and unity in this new year of 2000. As each one
of us says our single prayer, we believe Mary herself will string the prayers
onto a string of trust - into a circular garden or garland of roses which
will be presented to her son, Jesus Christ.
As others are healed - we are healed. As we are healed - the Body of Christ is healed. Think how your prayer supports and encourages and brings peace to those in need. Think how your prayer is supported by others as it is presented in heaven to Jesus by Mary herself.
"If two of you
shall consent upon earth concerning anything whatsoever they shall ask,
it shall be done to them by My Father who is in heaven. For where there
are two or three gathered in My name, there am I in their midst.
(Matt.18:19, 20).
HOW DO I PRAY?
You may pray for
anyone or anything you want or need- but the prayer of the faithful - intercessory
prayer will be the most powerful. Pray for the ill - for world peace -
the end of the killing of the unborn - for our youth - our families. Pray
for John Paul II and our bishops, priests, sisters and all religious that
their lives and ours are blessed - through a deeper experiential relationship
with Christ. Pray for loved ones who have died, especially when they come
to mind.
Dont know anyone?
Do as our priest does - open up the phone book and pray for those whose
names are on that page. If you feel the Lord leads you in any particular
way - go with Him in prayer or to any person who comes to mind.
"It is impossible
that the prayers of many should not
be heard, if
one prayer is made up as it were out of many supplications." (Thomas
Aquinas)
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
Email your name
and address along with your thoughts and you will receive notice where
your name will appear as an Ave Maria, Paternoster, or Glory Be etc.
You will also know the Mystery for meditation.
THEN WHAT DO I DO?
As soon as your
receive email confirmation from the Guild of your bead placement, please,
begin praying. Use an object - such as a personal memento to take
the place of the bead. Put it into your pocket or with your change.
When you find it, say your rosary prayer - as many times as you feel you
should. Your extra prayer will cover for another who is unable to
pray at this time. We only need your first name, Last initial and
state or country: eg: Mary T (NM)
(We smiled over
some of the beads we use to send - as they were not to our liking, but
as some one commented, ‘Neither is our sin in the eyes of God!'.
MISSING A BEAD?
Since we had problems with our lumpy
beads not going through the PO system we took the advice of one of the
pray-ers to use a memento that has meaning to you. You have come up with
some wonderful ideas and hope you continue sharing them with us.
BUTTONS - BEADS - COINS - NAILS - PERSONAL MEMENTOS
Often items that belong(ed) to a loved one who you are praying for - much better than anything we could come up with from here. Thank you for your patience. We are blessed by your presence in the rosay.
START A ROSARY.NETWORK IN YOUR PARISH?
It is very simple to do. Collect
59 beads or items such as listed above and make a sign-up sheet for your
friends, community or parish family. Assign each a bead a name and a prayer.
Simply follow the general guidelines above and begin. It is already
being done by many others. Whose idea was this? We belive the
Blessed Virgin requested this herself. In prayer, it was formed at
the worktable of the rosary workshop. Small fragments of information
were given each of the guild members and we gathered them together .
It grew from there. It belongs to her. We would enjoy hearing
from you and how your blessings have grown.
Ours have - thanks be to God!

THE ROSARY.NETWORK
Why is the rosary
so powerful? When you pray the rosary, you are praying the gospel.
When you pray
the gospel, you are entering into the Living Word of God.
When you enter
into the Living Word God, miracles happen.

I ask that I walk in the path that God wants
me too, and that I can listen to what he is trying to tell me, and that
if I can't hear that he speak a little louder so I can have understanding,
knowledge and spiritual growth. I want to thank you very much for praying
for and with me over this illness.

I am a convert. When I was a child, I taught myself to pray the rosary. Finally, on the eve of my 51st birthday two years ago (Easter Vigil 2001), I was received into the Church. I believe that Our Lady kept praying for me until I finally became Catholic. Now I am praying for my family. My husband is in RCIA this year. But, there are my 5 sons ages 18 to 30. Perhaps Our Mother will also pray them into the Church.

How should I pray?
Again, from petitions and forgiveness
to thanksgiving and praise.
Our prayers are linked into one
another in such a way as to invite the great and healing
mystery of God's love.
It also gives to the oneness that fulfills the body of Christ.

... suspending the laws of nature
through prayer ...
We have never seen such power released through natural
disasters and terrorism as we have seen during the presidency of
George Bush. No leader of our nation has ever had so much on his shoulders.
(We thank the Lord that our president turns to the Lord for guidance.)
When his brother Florida Governor Jeb Bush, first heard of the Asian tsunami,
he "began to pray the Mysteries." It's a lesson for us all. At the apparition
site of Medjugorje the Blessed Mother said that "with prayer and fasting
you can stop wars and even suspend the laws of nature."
+
We must not forget that what is said above is totally
true, especially after hearing about the pastor who commanded the tsunami
wave to stop 'in the name of Jesus' - and it did - saving a boatload
of orphans from certain death. Pray for our President, pray for the earth
and those of the earth and the weather to be at peace. And we thank
you Lord for a president who turns to you, may our government hear your
voice and follow it in their work.

the world, I am the light of the world” (Jn 9:5)
