On May 18th, 1920, Karol Joseph Wojtyla was born. On August 25th of that same year, not too far away, Helena Kowalska was celebrating her 15th birthday. Under the loving eyes of Mary, they would bring the world a deeper sense of the word, Divine Mercy. + Now, 90+ years later, this collection of old Czech glass cane beads in five colors also honor St Faustina and Blessed John Paul II both from neighboring Poland. Faceted 8 mm Ave beads, sometimes referred to as 'Cathedral Windows' are formed in old antique glass mold designs, using old glass cane or rods from the 1920s Center is a filigreed 'A' 'M' (Ave Maria). Pater beads are faceted Swarovski Crystal, capped in antiqued filigrees. (may appear more golden on some monitors, they are clear when held in hand. (Color: "Shadow") + These beads were made the same year Blessed John Paul II was born in Poland. + Chaplet is in the traditional 'All in One Loop' for uninterrupted prayer. Also easier on on the hands. |
