WORTHY ARE YOU, LORD IV
USING
BASHA's GRECO ROMAN BEADS - A SMALLER ROSARY
![]() |

This is the fourth and smallest in the series of 'Worthy Are You O Lord', a smaller Pater bead (Handmade Basha bead) and Ave. The rosary itself looks to us as if it came from a private estate or collection dating back 100s of years. Filigree Ave beads have been used for centuries. They were introduced in the 1600s and used in the 'Filigree Rosaries made in Bavaria (Schwäbisch Gmünd) and Austria. This rosary was inspired by these elegant rosaries seen in many museums throughout Europe. (See our Rosary Museum link above) + HAND MADE 'PATER' BEADS BY BASHA These Pater beads are by Basha, an American bead artist, whose work has captured an archival 2000 + year old look. It is all in the way she handles the hot glass that gives an inner iridescent patina that normally happens to buried glass over time. + This is a magnificent example of what is possible in the hands of a gifted contemporary glass bead maker. No two beads are alike yet all carry the archival quality she alone is famous for. We are grateful that BASHA shares her limited beads with us as one of her customers. + The Ave beads are handmade silver filigree Ave beads. We have not seen any at the recent shows so their days seem to be numbered! The filigree openwork lightens this powerful rosary to the hand. The double sided crucifix is traditional to the Renaissance Period, 'double faced', with Mary on the reverse. + And His glory filled the temple! ROSARY - CHAPLET |

From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder. 5 Seven flaming torches burned in front of the throne, which are the seven spirits of God .... 6 In front of the throne was something that resembled a sea of glass like crystal. ... |

A closer look shows how the light captures the inner 'Labradorite' color of the bead, leading one to imagine they are from an ancient Grecian dig. Each has an inner fire that our camera cannot capture, but it is as if one was holding a rainbow. The colors change at every turn. |

CREATED BY BASHA. (image from earlier rosary) Matte, iridescent patina is much softer and comes from the inside, not the surface. |
