I ADORE THEE
DEDICATED TO BLESSED LUCIA SANTOS
The title of this
rosary, I Adore Thee, comes from the Angel of Portugual who visited the
children 3 times in preparation of Our Lady's visits. He taught the
children how to pray: "'My God, I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love
You....." The visits are covered below for your serious consideration in
daily prayer. Read them, they capture us and when taken into the heart
and prayed, they will not only change each of us - they will change the
world we live in.

Lucia was born 22 March 1907, the youngest of 7
children, to Antonio and Maria Rosa Santos. Lucia was a brilliant
child and a 'natural leader'. She was able to help her little cousins Francisco
and Jacinta through the difficult days following the apparitions of the
Blessed Virgin Mary. She entered Carmel in 1948 and became Sister
Maria Lucia of the Immaculate Heart. She died Feb 13, 2005.
... OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY ...
'The devil,' Sister Lucia lamented, 'had
focused his assault against the Rosary, which she described as the prayer,
after the holy liturgy itself, "most apt for preserving the faith in souls."
Devotion to the Immaculate Heart would be key, said the famous nun, and
that consists of considering the Blessed Mother as the "seat of mercy,
of goodness, and of pardon and as the certain door by which we are to enter
Heaven."

"There is no problem, I tell you, no matter
how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary,"
she reassured. "With the Holy Rosary, we
will save ourselves. We will sanctify ourselves. We will console Our Lord
and obtain the salvation of many souls."

I ask pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope, and do not love You'. + Then he said 'Pray in this way. The hearts of Jesus and Mary are ready to listen to you.' |

... ANGEL OF PORTUGUAL'S 2nd VISIT ... The children are playing and suddenly the angel comes again and says: 'What are you doing? You must pray! Pray! The hearts of Jesus and Mary have merciful designs for you. You must offer your prayers and sacrifices to God, the Most High.' + They asked how they could do this and the angel answered: + 'In every way you can offer sacrifice to God in reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and in supplication for sinners. In this way you will bring peace to our country, for I am its guardian angel, the Angel of Portugal. Above all, bear and accept with patience the sufferings God will send you.' |
