Ruby zoisite is a relatively new gemstone, discovered as an ornamental stone only about 200 years ago. It is a natural combination of ruby and zoisite crystals in a single specimen. Zoisite is the same mineral as tanzanite, as found in Tanzania. One of the most delightfully colorful stones found. There isn't another stone like it in the mineral world. Over the last few centuries it has carried various names but remains one on f the most colorful of all the minerals. Each faceted but hard to tell as the camera seems to be more interested in picking up the variegation colors of 'jade' and ruby. PATER BEADS: Garnet chunks are also rare beauties.
