It has been said that this seed is the oldest recorded seed used to count prayers. Traditionally, they are used for rosaries but not Christian rosaries. Yet, we should realize this rugged seed is a creature of God and is not reserved for any one group of prayers or pray-ers! This seed is divided into 5 parts. And for a Christian, it is a symbol of the 5 wounds of Christ. Ver very limited. + PATERS ARE A NATURAL VARIEGATED 'PINK AGATE', FLAT LIKE A PEBBLE, WORN TO A MATTE FINISH. THIS STONE WAS MADE FOR PRAYER IN THE HAND. + We look carefully at its heavy texture and must say to ourselves that it is a powerful bead for prayer - certainly more sacrificial! Certainly it would keep one awake with its rough surface - until the prescribed prayers are completed. And of course, the goal would be to wear each bead smooth from many prayers! We have seen this done on a Christian rosary made of Rudraksha seeds (See Museum) and it gives one a sense of being near a sacramental that belonged to a very holy person. + ROSARY + CHAPLET SHOPPING CART |

Rudraksha seeds make beautiful rosaries. We have one in the museum (be sure and see it) so not given to any particular group other than tradition that says it is probably the oldest known bead for prayer. No center medal and crucifix is late 18c. I received the rosaries today. The special order Sacrificial Offerings is also a striking rosary. The 10mm moon and stars beads seem to be made for the large coral Pater beads. The turquoise and rust accents lend sparkle as the finishing touches. I have been a long time customer of yours, but you always surprise and delight me with your beautiful creations. They always seem to become more beautiful and creative! I do believe that our Lord has blessed you and the ladies with ever-improving gifts for designing and making rosaries of great beauty and inspiration.
