  So many of the Franciscan rosaries we see in museums are simple, made of wooden beads. Some appear to have been made of natural materials found along the way. We think of Fr Serra and Fr Kino who helped settle the Southwest and California coast, we can imagine they did not come heavily laden with rosaries to replace their own losses and may have replaced a rosary using seeds, shells, pebbles or wood. This collection of our Franciscan Inspired rosaries (RSDA) tries to imitate what natural materials may have been used along the way.
