He blessed them and their numbers increased. Beautiful words from Psalms! a precious gift for a loved one to remember a special day! The colors used in this rosary create an antique look, typical of the early rosaries we call 'Filigrees'. + ... REVELATION 21:21-24 ... The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate being made of a single pearl, and the main street of the city was pure gold, transparent as glass. I could not see any temple in the city since the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb were themselves the temple, and the city did not need the sun or the moon for light, since it was lit by the radiant glory of God, and the Lamb was a lighted torch for it. The nations will come to its light and the kings of the earth will bring it their treasures. + FACETED PEARLS The faceted pearl, which is a fairly new process (1997), creates an almost mystical look as it has an illusion of a smaller pearl floating inside the larger pearl whose surface is faceted. It is one of those things you have to see to believe. The spark of light that comes from the surface of the pearl is an unexpected delight. The pearl. This beautiful creature of God holds a great lesson for us within its beauty. Formed from an irritation in the shell, the pearl reminds us of how nature chooses to praise the Creator by making something beautiful instead of complaining through another choice of visual language. From a small foreign object lodged in the closed shell, the life within will slowly cover it with layer after layer of a shelly material called nacre. Over a period of years, the pearl is slowly formed. Over 500 million pearls are produced annually. Ranging from white to black, their surface glows with many iridescent and permanent colors which are now brought forth by applying laser heat. + IRRADIATION Pearls are now being treated with a harmless but permanent irradiation process to create a spectrum of natural colors that brings wonder to the eye. Not only do the colors range from pure whites to champagne to roses, golds, browns, greens, purples and blacks – it creates an incredible iridescent quality that captures a range of colors other than the base color. |
