IN THE KEEPING OF A SHELL And so it happened. This deep, mysterious pearl was born in the keeping of a shell from a tiny speck of unexpected irritation, all because God spoke. Then with a little help from state of the arts technology, the color was added! These pearls from Japan are colored with a laser process that makes the color permanent. Faceting appears to have been around since about 1998 and not all pearls can be faceted. + CHECK FOR AVAILABILITY Like all of our pearl rosaries, as they sell out, we upgrade them. + AVE BEADS: The rosy copper glow of these faceted Japanese pearls remind us of the evening sky as the sun is about to set and bring on the night. PATER BEADS: antiqued filigree beads are capped with filigrees to continue the richness of this rosary and giving it an overall look of time, not unlike the early filigree rosaries of the 18 - 9 century.
