If you are familiar with the work of Basha, you know the color is not on the surface. It is inside. And this inner light changes as you hold them, almost as if the light inside is alive. Because of this, it is impossible to capture with a camera. + EACH RARE PATER BEADS IS HAND FORMED BY BASHA, USING THE ANCIENT 'LAMPWORK' TECHNIQUE WHERE HOT GLASS IS WRAPPED AROUND A MANDREL. THE COLOR HERE IS CALLED 'LABRADORITE' AND APPEARS TO BE FROM AN ANCIENT ARCHIVAL DIG. EACH BEAD IS CAPPED WITH AN ANTIQUED FILIGREE. + Each pearl has its own beautiful shape given to God alone as he spoke and formed them by the words of his mouth - no two alike - yet each holds a beauty that reflects its maker. As hard as we try, we are unable to capture the fullness of the beauty of these Pater beads. Basha beads are individually handmade using the ancient technique called lampwork They carry the senses to ancient glass recently un earthed in an historical dig. The Ave beads, rich, faceted pearls add an unexpected flash of living light to the surface of this rosary. Their mossy green draws us to the depths of the ocean. |
