A Rosary Series dedicated (Oct 02- 03) to world peace and the family, and the new Mysteries of Light. The first ones are long gone but very popular so added more as originals sold out. The "mysteries of light" are drawn from the life of Christ, and his public revelation of his divine nature and mission. + HAS ALWAYS BEEN THERE This was a major event, a wonderful event in the history of the rosary. Changes are rare. It is believed to be inspired by a very holy priest, Blessed George Preca (d.1962). This new series of mysteries is called for - as if it has always been there. Included below is a list of the mysteries with information to date regarding the prayers and sequence guide lines. ROSARY

We have picked up several names for these pebble like stones but regardless of their name the colors are wonderful, no two a like, each a masterpiece from the mouth, hand and mind of God. The shape of these beautiful art forms makes it very prayable in the hand. The Paters are of rough finished mala wood. |

OF THE NEW MYSTERIES: |
|
+ "Another mystery of light is the first of the signs, given at Cana (John 2:1- 12), when Christ changes water into wine and opens the hearts of the disciples to faith, thanks to the intervention of Mary, the first among believers," + "Another mystery of light is the preaching by whichJesus proclaims the coming of the Kingdom of God, calls to conversion (cf. Mark 1:15) and forgives the sins of all who draw near to him in humble trust (cf. Mark 2:3-13; Luke 7:47-48): the inauguration of that ministry of mercy which he continues to exercise until the end of the world, particularly through the Sacrament of Reconciliation which he has entrusted to his Church (cf. John 20:22-23)," + "The mystery of light par excellence is the Transfiguration, traditionally believed to have taken place on Mount Tabor. The glory of the Godhead shines forth from the face of Christ as the Father commands the astonished Apostles to 'listen to him' (cf. Luke 9:35 and parallels) and to prepare to experience with him the agony of the Passion, so as to come with him to the joy of the Resurrection and a life transfigured by the Holy Spirit. + "A final mystery of light is the institution of the Eucharist, in which Christ offers his body and blood as food under the signs of bread and wine, and testifies 'to the end' his love for humanity (John 13:1), for whose salvation he will offer himself in sacrifice." |
|
"Where might the 'mysteries of light' be inserted?" asks the Pope. "If we consider that the 'glorious mysteries' are said on both Saturday and Sunday, and that Saturday has always had a special Marian flavor, the second weekly meditation on the 'joyful mysteries,' mysteries in which Mary's presence is especially pronounced, could be moved to Saturday. Thursday would then be free for meditating on the 'mysteries of light.' PRAYER |

~ COMMENTS ~ |

I received the Mysteries of Light rosary last Thursday. There are really no words to describe the beauty of the new rosary. The colors are inspired. This rosary is so comfortable in my hands "it prays nicely". I just love it!! I held the beads in my hands admiring their awesome beauty. I closed my eyes and meditated for awhile and was taken back to Ladysmith, WI where I spent a part of my life in the convent. The Servite Order or Servants of Mary. It has been along time since I remembered my years there, very good years. I believe through this rosary from the guild that touched me, Our Lady reminded me to pray and serve her Son in whatever way He guides me in life. When I pray this rosary I think of service to God, Our Lady and my fellow human beings. Aleta T (DC)
