RARE ROSARIES of LAVA & NATURAL STONE

Peter the rock - it just fit! So we have used Paters that have been hand chiseled from Carnelian and Amethyst rocks, creating a beautiful prayer bead in its rough reminder of how life can be. Aves are a rough lava stone in matte black. The matte black reminded us of the priesthood and of the calling of Peter and all those who followed him in the laying on of hands. Very limited. PETER. Rough and tough, these textured matte black ave beads (9mm) of lava are shown with hand chiseled or rough cut chunks of Amethyst for Pater beads to remind us too, of the rocks in our own road of life. 17c Spanish cross (or earlier). This is an all in one loop rosary, an ancient tradition, and will not tangle easily. Inspired by the early monks who used pebbles to count their prayers. |

Think of it - these carnelian stones are older than we can imagine! God's 'spoken word' hidden for thousands of years until mined and brought to the light of day. Each stone has been hand cut and chiseled into the shapes above, showing their inner color under a rugged surface. We love the tough lava Ave beads reminding us of those days in life that were not so smooth! 'All in one loop" with not center medal, just as in the tradition of the 15c rosaries. |
