The Rosary Workshop guild has supported the wonderful work of Franciscan University in Steubenville Ohio by attending workshops, classes and seminars over the years. WE have supported and attended many of the youth conferences, which have changed the lives of our young people here in the UP of Michihgan. Franciscan University also is one of our tithes! Their work has been rewarding. We have also watched with great joy the many sharings on THE JOURNEY HOME (EWTN) with Marcus Grodi, which includes the COMING HOME NETWORK. + Because we have heard from many of you regarding your return to (Reverts) or coming into (Converts) the Catholic Church, we decided to share some of your stories and include links to the sites that would give more information on this transition for those who are called. And now we are about to embrace thousands of our brothers and sisers from the Anglican Church as The Holy Father forges a new bridge of compassion across the Tiber. Welcome home! |

You might be interested in this tidbit of information from our house, since all you girls have a strong Stubenville connection. My husband was a Presbyterian pastor for about 15 yrs. Due to a lot of stuff, I came back home to the Roman Catholic Church. My husband, Duncan, didn't have any problems with my returning. He started questioning more things and began to study. He had pretty much decided to become a Catholic, but wanted to go on a retreat to discern God's will. So, guess where he went? Right, to the Priest Retreat House in Stubenville. + Fr. Peter O'Gorman was his director for his week there. He felt the presence of the Holy Spirit in very tangible ways. Anyway, he came home with the decision firm to enter the RCC. He went back to school and got his Masters in Counseling and within five years, finished and got a job as the parish counselor at St. Thomas the Apostle in Phoenix. He's been a Catholic now for four years. We are Loving it! God has blessed us and peace reigns supreme at our house now. Anyway, thought you might find the connection interesting.
