Rosary Workshop - Handmade beads - my telling of the beads
RENEWING
Like links being repaired on a broken rosary -
friendships are restored. Families, friends and even nations are mended
through the rosary. If you have a story about the rosary to share, please
sent it so others may read it and be strengthened, too.

"some local stores are selling the rosaries [I make]
regularly---One store owner sold her favorite rosary of mine to a woman
who ended up giving it as a gift to the store owner's former family counselor,
whom she had not seen in years. When she came into the store to see
where the rosary came from, the counselor found her former client behind
the counter! And this, through a rosary made by another family counselor
no less (me!)--mere coincidence?--or is that the graceful finger of God
we see at work bringing people together...?" A rosary-maker in

~ SHE BROUGHT ME to
CHURCH ~
I started the Rosary Workshop on the internet in
96 and some wonderful people have come to visit! Recently, I received
an email from a woman who simply said, 'Is your mom's name Helen C?'
Well, when I looked at the email address I knew immediately who it was!
When I was 13, we moved to Pittsburgh and almost immediately Joan and I
became friends. She was Catholic. I had always wanted to go to the
Catholic church but simply did not know anyone who was Catholic!
(I knew I would never go unless invited.) So she took me took me
to my first Mass and I was in awe!
+
This was the first serious step in becoming a Catholic.
(It would be another 10 years before I was able to take classes at the
Naval Academy where my 'husband to be' was a midshipman.) Joan and I have
had so much fun catching up with lost years - and to find our love for
the Church has only grown over the years has been such a blessing. Joan
is a strong supporter of the Right to Life as am I and we are able to share
Christs love for his people in so many enriching ways. God is so good!

... Joan's email response ...
I remember well the day we walked up to Sacred
Heart Church (you were astounded that we could just walk in) and as soon
as we entered, the hush and the presence of the Real Presence overtook
us. The light coming through the stained glass windows to the right
of us had those dust thingys floating down. That was the only light
except for the sanctuary light......

....... and the huge cross on a red background
with the gold tabernacle in the middle under the cross. It
was quite a sight and since you were such an artistic and visual person,
I can only imagine what your perception was. Mine was that Jesus
was watching us as we were admiring His house.
+
Those were the wonderfully simple days and we were
fortunate to have had them. So many people did not. Then when
you moved and I walked to East Liberty to see you.....we lit the stove
for your observant Jewish neighbors. Do you remember? Joan
