She remains a mystery and questions abound, but her friends are many. Like St. Jude and St. Rita, St. Philomena is a patron of "hopeless" and "impossible" cases. But she is especially devoted to the needs of expectant mothers and those unable to conceive, destitute mothers, problems with children, orphans and problems in the home. Her name means Daughter of Light (Greek). St Vianney assures us she is the intercessor who brought conversion to the town of Ars. + We pray to her for the conversion of sinners and return to the sacraments, to intercede for the suffering. The sick and those with mental illness and the imprisoned. Priests pray to her for their vocation and works. She intercedes for food for the poor, for the missions, for real estate and financial problems. Traditional 'all in one loop' chaplet for easier prayer. St Vianney was such a strong supporter of St Philomena, giving her credit for every miracle and healing that happened in his time of prayer, that we included the chaplet on the right as another Philomena even though it does not have her on the other side The point being, pray to Vianney, patron of the priests and he draws St Philomena in! What a lovely prayer team! + A MORE MASCULINE ADAPTATION These two chaplets carry the basic configuration of St Philomena, but instead using 3 red beads for martyrdom and the triune God. 13 rare, hand faceted petrified wood beads are hand faceted and symbolize her 13 years on earth. (Requests for a more masculine rosary are met in this rare and never to be replaced chaplet) |
