One of the hardest parts of becoming Catholic was accepting the roll of Mary.  I simply did not understand - and had been taught - that 'Catholics believe she is more powerful than Jesus and 'takes away' from him. It was very misleading. But now I understand her role is to interceed for us to her son, Jesus - and so have dedicated this rosary to her Immacualate Conception.

TRADITIONAL ROLL / QUEEN MOTHER
In a recent study of the Old Testament and particularly during the period of the King David, it was the mother of the king, not the wife who held the title 'Queen'.  It was the Queen who was approached by the people to intercede their needs to the King, her son. Think of the miracle of Canna in the New Testament "... Do whatever he tells you" (John 2:5) Her words are few in scripture but powerfully lead to her son Jesus

 We pray we can be like her and live these words she shares with us

BEADS / SYMBOLISM
This old bead is made more prophetic by its color, blue.  True blue. A perfect color given to Mary as she was and continues to be true to the Lord. We know Mary comes bathed in light when she visits her children, so this beautiful blue when held up to the light gives us a sense of Mary's presence.
