He was a man who loved children and loved working with the impaired. When our children were little, they called him 'Fadda'. That was when he was a Lt Cdr in the Navy, serving as the Catholic Chaplain at the USN Post Graduate School in Monterey CA. He taught us that being a good Catholic did not include the smorgasborg table of choice. + We loved him and his outrageous sense of humor. As Bishop of NY, John Cardinal O'Conner served the Lord he loved well. He was a strong supporter of the unborn and asked only to be remembered as a 'good priest'. This rosary is a small token of love to 'Fadda', who believed fine religious art gave visual honor to God. He was a dear friend, a brother in Christ - and - a very good priest! ROSARY

Faceted 8 mm Ave beads, sometimes referred to as 'Cathedral Windows' are formed in old antique glass mold designs, using old glass cane from the 1920s. (Beads are crystal with amethyst inclusions). Center is a filigreed 'A' 'M' (Ave Maria). Pater beads are faceted Swarovski Crystal, capped in antiqued filigrees. (may appear more golden on some monitors, they are clear when held in hand. (Color: "Shadow") + These beads are made from glass cane dated 1920. This is the same year John Joseph O'Conner was born in Philadelphia. + Chaplet is in the traditional 'All in One Loop' for uninterrupted prayer. Also easier on on the hands. |
