AGE OF ANTIQUE GLASS CANE USED IN SERIES PARALLELS LIVES BELOW 2000 was the Jubilee year of God's grace and mercy and we were inspired to do 5 rosaries in honor of 5 very special people. Now 90 + years ago, on Jan 15 1920, John Joseph O'Connor was born in Philadelphia. On May 18th Karol Joseph Wojtyla was born in Poland. A neighbor of Karol's, Helena Kowalska celebrated her 15th birthday on August 25th of this same year. Raymond Kolbe was 2 years into the priesthood when this glass cane was made in nearby Czechoslovakia. We hope you enjoy! The beads in this series are almost gone and unable to be replace. + PLEASE NOTE ALL CRUCIFIXES AND CENTERS AVAILABLE ALONE All crucifixes, centers and medals are available alone. Each individually hand cast from antique and vintage pieces in sterling silver and solid bronze. Then antiqued to restore the original old patina. The color is called 'Shadow' and may be reflecting colors near by, such as the filigree or background. + VIRGIN MOST MERCIFUL Mary is the mother of Mercy. In the Litany of The Blessed Virgin she is called 'Virgin Most Merciful'. We ask her son, 'have mercy on us' and he does. We ask Mary, 'pray for us' and she intercedes for us. Yes, every Jubilee, he opened the 4 basilica doors which symbolize an invitation to us to open our hearts more fully to the Lords mercy, but he has also opened doors of forgiveness and unity to all who love the Lord. Now the door to Sainthood has opened to him as of 1 April 2011. And we still call out, "JPII we love you" |
