The figural medal of St Michael is attached to the center back loop of this rosary to remind us of his intercession when we ask for his protection. The center is that of St Pio and Mary, two more spiritual warriors against the attacks of the devil. The facet blue crystal Paters reflect the light of the Madonna herself. 4 Likewise, you younger members, 5 be subject to the presbyters. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility in your dealings with one another, for: "God opposes the proud but bestows favor on the humble." So humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time .... |

12 Come, children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. 13 Who among you loves life, takes delight in prosperous days? 14 Keep your tongue from evil, your lips from speaking lies. 15 Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. 16 The LORD has eyes for the just and ears for their cry. 17 The LORD'S face is against evildoers to wipe out their memory from the earth. 18 When the just cry out, the LORD hears and rescues them from all distress. |

~ ST BENEDICT MEDAL ~ |
|
In 1647 a manuscript dating back to 1415 was found at the Abbey of Metten (Bavaria), giving an explanation of the letters on the art. They are the initial letters of a Latin prayer of exorcism against Satan. The blessed Benedictine medal carries the same power against evil as does the true cross. The round Benedictine medal, the one we are most familiar with, is called the Jubilee Medal (struck in 1880 marking the 1000 th anniversary of St. Benedict's birth) But many existed before this time, including the ones used on the rosaries and chaplets here. All carry the same powerful message of intercession below: JUBILEE MEDAL (1880) SHOWN BELOW |

The blessed medal of St. Benedict carries the prayer of exorcism against the ways of Satan. Review the words above and hear what they say. Repeat them often . It is a prayer for peace, not only in the world but amongst ourselves through the intercession of St. Benedict. It calls 'for the Cross of Christ to be our light and our guide' and becomes a constant reminder that we are to follow Christ and not to be influenced by the 'Dragon' or the devil, satan. We are not to drink his poison but to tell him to drink his own poison. It give us strength in times of temptation and reminds us that we are to reject satan and all his ways. The evil influences in the world today are very very powerful because they are so subtle. Wearing or keeping the Medal of Benedict on our person or in our wallet is a constant reminder of this spiritual warfare around us! Keeping one in our car, on our computer, anywhere it is visible is wonderful, although if hidden from sight, it still carries the power and message of hope against the evil one. Attach one to your rosary or pray the prayer of the 'niner' daily. This may also be a novena prayer. |

"The intercession of St. Benedict is known to have power and our faith can release this power. The medal is reminder that we are protected by the power of Christ." In past history it is known to have: Destroyed witchcraft and all other diabolical influences. + 'Keep away the spells of magicians, of wicked / evil-minded persons. + Impart protection to persons tempted, deluded or tormented by evil spirits. + Obtain the conversion of sinners, especially when in danger of death. + To serve as an armor in temptations against holy purity. + Destroy the effects of poison. + Secure a timely and healthy birth for children. + Afford protection against storms and lightning. + To serve as an efficacious remedy for bodily afflictions and a means of protection against contagious diseases. + Finally, the Medal has often been used with admirable effect even for animals infected with plague or other maladies, and for fields when invaded by harmful insects.' |

'Mary will raise up apostles of the latter times to make war against the evil one. . . . But the power of Mary over all the devils will especially shine forth in the latter times, when Satan will lay his snares against her heel: that is to say, her humble slaves and poor children, whom she will raise up to make war against him. They shall be little and poor in the world's esteem, and abased before all like the heel, trodden underfoot and persecuted as the heel is by other members of the body. + But in return for this they shall be rich in the grace of God, which Mary shall distribute to them abundantly. They shall be great and exalted before God in sanctity. Superior to all creatures by their lively zeal, and so well sustained with God's assistance that, with the humility of their heel, in union with Mary, they shall crush the head of the devil and cause Jesus Christ to triumph.' (St Louis de Monfort) |

~ BLESSED 'OIL' BEADS ~ |
|
These beads are not blessed but we encourage you to have the rosary blessed by your priest. We purchased these beads years ago from Tomas, a vender / friend in Tucson. (We purchased all he had.) Each hand made in Germany by the famous glass bead maker 'Willie Wilhelm and are dated from 1950 - 1960. + The remarkable thing about these beads is their uniformity for beads made using the lampwork technique. Each is a little bit different in color only. But appear to be droplets of fine olive oil, ranging from light to dark transparent topaz. And this is why we chose these beads. Have you ever heard of 'St Raphael Oil? We had not until recently when a dear Priest friend explained: |

|
'St Raphael Oil is not the same as the Sacrament Holy Oil that is conferred by a Priest as in the Anointing of the Sick.. It is a Sacramental like holy water and may be used by the laity for blessing oneself, as a healing balm, on droopiest, windows and may be used as protection against evil. He reminded us that our faith, along with God's power, through Jesus and the powerful intercession of St Raphael the Archangel, and the blessing of the priest, all this through prayer goes into the oil as it is being prepared. Healings may be slow or instant and they may be physical, spiritual or mental. And of God's choosing.' Raphael means 'Healer' see Tobias when Raphael heals - only one of the many references to Raphaels presence when healing occurs: TOBIAS 21:14-17,22
