WORKED BY THE HAND OF MAN The earth yields many surprises. God speaks them into existence with his mouth and Man refines them into another stage of their potential by mining, cutting and polishing them by hand. We string them into what you see here. A simple yet powerful rosary. + IS LAVA GLASS? Obsidian (Lava) is a type of glass (high silica content) that is formed through volcanic action. We see Obsidian or lava flowing out of volcanos in its red hot liquid form. When it cools quickly, it cannot form crystals. It is so tough it is used for cutting edges and counter tops. + NOTE THE BEAUTIFUL TEXTURE OF THE BLACK OBSIDIAN / LAVA THESE BEADS REMIND US OF THE POWER OF FIRE AND MOLTEN GLASS AS THIS IS HOW THEY WERE FORMED. THESE TWO NATURAL STONES INSPIRE ONE TO PRAY. + WHAT IS JASPER? Jasper comes in many colors and carries a variety of names ( 17+ ) such as Flower Jasper, Poppy Jasper, Leopard Jasper, Landscape Jasper and Picture Jasper. The latter two are prized for natural formations that often appear to be scenes or images. Jasper is a type of opaque Chalcedony and has been used since ancient times.
