~ WHAT HAPPENS? ~ |

When a new order of beads come in, we are all very excited to see what they look like. They are so much more beautiful here than they were in Tucson on the tables where they are heaped up into dusty piles, each kind fighting for your attention. But when they become rosaries, something even more wonderful happens. + Its something like a ship when it is first built. First it is a pile of material, then the keel is laid. Eventually it becomes an inert hull - it looks like a ship as it is fitted out. But when the ship is Christened, it traditionally becomes 'alive' - as her crew goes on board and stands 'at rest' - this is when she gains her 'soul'. + Well, beads seem to have a similar experience. They are wonderful to look at but when they are made into rosaries, the beads change - they just come alive - as if they are now becoming what they were made to be. Then, when they are blessed and given back to the Lord they take on a new aura - or life and become a 'sacramental'. But when they are prayed, that is when they - the beads - become most beautiful as they are now fulfilling their destiny! We often marvel over how the raw elements look when they are first mined or formed into glass cane. or removed from a shell. Originally spoken into being by God himself, then cut and polished by man it seems only right to see them become instruments of praise and prayer.
