CHILDREN of ABRAHAM  III
LEA:  LIMITED EDITION ANTIQUES
8 Produce good fruits as evidence of your repentance; and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,' for I tell you, God can raise up children to Abraham from these stones.

A RARE FORM OF CHALCEDONY
We were blessed to find such a rare, hand faceted 'Spotted Chalcedony' bead that has such a glorious combination of jet, coral, gray and creamy translucent colors. (Note the small, faceted rondells on either side carry colors of the Pater bead) One can marvel over the designs formed when rocks were fluid, spoken into existence through the word of God himself!

WHO WAS ABRAHAM?
Abraham. Father of Isaac who is of the lineage of the Jews and Christians. He is also the father of Ishmael.  This line, blessed by God is now known as Islam.  But God's covenant rested upon his son, Isaac and then to Jacob. This rosary honors that Covenant and how his offspring did grow like grains of sand on the beach and stars set into the heavens above. And how we are called in more than a blood line - we are called by the spiritual condition of our hearts. Not stony hearts but hearts of flesh.

WIH A LONG HISTORY
Chalcedony was prized by the Romans as they used this stone for seals.  It was believed to have healing qualities during the Renaissance period. It is also used in Florentine Mosaics (16c). It is found and mined in Burma, India, Mexico, Madagascar and in the US.

AVE BEADS:  a rare combination of old matte, pressed  black glass beads (1920s - 50s) dated by our vender (Gablonz).  Beautifully matted to give a look of washed stone from the shore. As used they will take on the natural oils in the fingers and become a soft satin jet black.  PATER BEADS:  A rare, hand faceted 'Spotted' Chalcedony gemstone. (a type of Quartz) Note this wonderful gathering of colors. Red  (Carnelian), Black (Onyx), This mix is formed when it is a hot, molten substance. Note the translucent areas while all seem to be embedded in a gray mass.
