The first Hail Mary was brought to earth by Angel Gabriel to Mary. Paul VI called the rosary "a compendium of the Gospel." Pio called the rosary, "his weapon". At Fatima, Mary identified herself as, "I am the Lady of the Rosary", and continued, " I have come to warn the faithful to amend their lives and to ask pardon for their sins. They must not offend our Lord any more, for he is already to grievously offended by the sins of men. People must say the rosary. Let them continue saying it every day." |

2 + ROSARIES: The very nature of the Rosary Workshop was to open up the brilliant past, share the history and to encourage others to be inspired by the beauty of the rosary, not only as a prayer counter but as an art form giving visual praise to God. Starting with a few, we are finding these to be very very popular. Inspired by old rosaries found in books and Museum collections from Schwäbisch Gmünd (Germany) to the Hunt Museum in Ireland and more. |

12 + ROSARIES: This was our first series back in 1996. It represented our most exciting designs, inspired, we believe from above. Still growing, still one of our most popular series - come and see! |
|
18 + ROSARIES: Then we bravely took on semi precious stones and loved what God had to say as he spoke each stone into being. You may be surprized at what happens to stones in the hands of man! |
|
7 + ROSARIES: We were so pleased with the results that we ventured into the deeps of the sea to hear what the Lord had to say! Faceted pearls and fossilized corals give the eye an unexpected adventure! And look at 'Dep Waters III with Basha beads! |
|
7 + ROSARIES: A few trips to Rome and the basilicas there, inspired the next group of rosaries, especially when the new series of beads using old glass bead mold designs began to surface. And the granite ends, giving them age! |
|
10 + ROSARIES: Then we found a Cz vender who introduced us to these beautiful hand made beads with tiny rosebuds on each one. A garden of rosebuds picked just for you. Unable to replace when gone. |

Basha makes beads that appear to be from archival digs - Greecian glass, unearthed and seeing the light of day after thousands of hidden years. Matte surfaces with an inner glow impossible to capture on your screen. Never to be offered again. (Ave beads are jet black Obsidian - lightened to show Basha bead better) See more in: |

A remarkable surge of bead making (Ancient technique called 'Lampwork' using glass cane and 'New Clay' using Polymer) has blessed our country and we are amazed with the diversity of their work. We now have a lovely collection from the two annual shows we attend: The International Gem and Mineral Show (Tucson) and the largest bead show in the US the Bead and Button Show, (Milwaukee). As time permits, we will be introducing you to these American artists through our rosaries, chaplets and jewelry. We hope you enjoy these fine treasures as much as we do! |

|
3 + ROSARIES: 'Klew Expression Beads' are nothing short of exquisite. Karen's beads just fall into place Once the beads are gone, she has no way of re-creating the design. Each is created from very limited cane, using multiple pieces of polymer clay. Each color is a different piece of clay, nothing is painted. A collectors paradise! (Polymer is tougher than glass!) Rosaries below include Ave's of Faceted Gemcut glass beads from Czechoslovakia. |

~ FILIGREES ~ |

|
4 + ROSARIES: The filigree rosary (see our History Section) became very popular in the mid 1600s, when the technique of silver filigree was first discovered by the jewelry makers of Germany and Austria. For the next 200+ years it remained a favorite. We found newer ones in a beautiful religious art gallery in Oberammergau (Germany) during our 2007 trip for about 350 euros. We were told that filigree rosaries are still being made in the Bavarian Forest. |

13 Listen, my faithful children: open up your petals, like roses planted near running waters; 14 Send up the sweet odor of incense, break forth in blossoms like the lily Send up the sweet odor of your hymn of praise; shared by Fr Joe |

There was a period in the history of bead making - a few centuries ago - when pressed beads became very popular. Molten glass was drawn into long thin rods and cooled. These rods could be as long as 20 meters and as thin as 1 mm. They were cut into 'canes' which were about 3 feet long. (small seed beads were made this way and called 'drawn beads') + This more workable length allowed the bead maker to soften the glass then press it into new shapes with the use of tongs that actually molded the glass into interesting beads. They became so good at their craft that it was hard to tell the difference between faceted beads that were cut and those that were molded. Today, many of these shapes from the old molds are being used again and we are very excited about the opportunity to offer some of these to you in various forms. |

~ VISITORS CORNER ~ |

I have been living in the Washington DC area for 9 years and one of my most profound prayer experiences was when I went down to the Pentagon on September 11th at 8:30 PM. I had to go out because the news made it seem like the world was ending. The search was still on for survivors so the roads were not yet blocked and barricaded. I lived 4 miles from the Pentagon then. Now I live barely 2 miles away. I tell you there was a rosary made of human beings linked by hands that night. It was the most powerful prayer moment I have ever felt. Brenda D (VA) + ... my favourite prayer ... Twenty-four years ago, on 29 October 1978, scarcely two weeks after my election to the See of Peter, I frankly admitted: “The Rosary is my favourite prayer. A marvellous prayer! Marvellous in its simplicity and its depth. John Paul II + ... thank you for making this purchase easy ... "What a GREAT website and nice wonderful service. Thank you so much for making this purchase easy and enjoyable. I checked out at least 6 other Rosary Bead Websites and chose yours for the original designs, great prices and beautiful presentation." Blessings to you, Summer B (USA) + ... I'll become a Catholic yet! ... "I love your site and look at it often for my own inspiration and upliftment. I am a bead artist who recently discovered the Rosary as a prayer habit. Have been making Rosaries for my friends, mostly protestants, but hey, it can't hurt! Thanks for your beautiful site. I'll become a Catholic yet! In Christ, Ruth R. (NC) + ... his first communion in 1908 ... I've been collecting rosaries for quite a long time but none of them are quite as grand as what you produce. I do have the rosary that was given to my Father when he made his First Communion in 1908. Keep up your beautiful work. Joan M. (MD) + ... as our Lady asks ... I was at Catholicity Chat room and was told this is a wonderful site for beautiful rosaries. I agree. I am interested in the world rosary and would like to pray along with all those who are praying as Our Lady asks us. I make mission plastic rosaries and distribute them all over the world. Gladys S. (PA) + ... my rosary most dear ... Of all my Catholic religious items, I hold my rosaries most dear. [when]I am upset, I go to my rosary...Gods blessing... Mimi C. (PA) + ... it will be used daily ... Rare old wine arrived - and has a warmth and softness that was not apparent in the picture. I knew when I first saw it that you were making it for me... You can be sure that it will be used daily. I am a member of the Legion of Mary so your work will be in constant use in the service of our Lady. Thanks again, so much. God Bless Sharon G (GA) + ... an 'Old World Look ... Wow! Beautiful work! It took me two hours of looking back at all the selections to decide which rosary (actually rosaries) I wanted to purchase. They have an "Old World" look to them that I really find attractive. Can't wait to receive mine! Jennifer B (IN) |
