THE CREDO CROSS
When praying the rosary, one begins by kissing the cross, then moving onto the small cross above it, called the 'Credo' Cross. During this period, the Creed was recited on this cross followed by a plea for an 'increase of faith, hope and charity'. The Pater is prayed, then 3 Aves followed by the Pater. Once the circle or the rose garden is entered, the Aves are prayed on the smaller beads, Paters on the filigrees.
