EARLY HANDMADE CHAIN CHAPLET
WITH 2 MEDALS
![]() |
|
This small chain chaplet was probably hand made by or for the pray-er. The special configuration of 12 Aves on the circle is interesting. The three Aves hanging from the Red carved Pater bead was typical of the early 1900s. Few rosaries or chaplets used a metal center piece as a junction at that time. It was usually the first Pater bead on the pendant. + The red and yellow beads are wonderfully primary and most likely what was available. Note the medals, a very early Benedict Medal and an Apostolate Medal. They give us insight on medals from this period. CONFIGURATION - CRUCIFIX - 2 MEDALS |
