	5 decade rosary CALLED THROUGH GRACE - RDSP.2567 3 + ST PIO - textured wooden beads with dyed root coral - dedicated to St Pio of Pietrelcina who called his rosary 'My weapon'. antique matte black - dedicated to Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows, also known as the Seven Dolores. The Servites developed this devotion in 13th century Italy. Antique matte glass beads are used here with hand carved seeds for Paters filled witih symbolism.

SEVEN SORROWS II - RDSP.2521

crystal with red inclusions - dedicated to Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows, also known as the Servite rosary because the Servites developed this devotion in 13th century Italy. Mary is often called the 'empty tablet of the Lord' as she allowd him to write his will on her through her 'yes' to him. These crystal beads with red inclusions remind us of little tablets as they are flat.

Antique Aves are especially beautiful as they are a crackle tri bead with an ab finish that may well have come from time, like old Grecian glass that came from a recent archival dig, (Gablonz, 1930s to 50s) Paters are rare faceted Tourmaline stones. The Paters are called mellon and are hand carved from an exotic wood. Small burgundy rondelle spacers catch an unexpected light on either side. They are old. How wonderful to make rosaries, I as a child would kneel with my Grandma on the hard wood floors (like Olive oyl knees!) until we finished saying the rosary nightly.
