Incredible windows to heaven are these beautiful Pater Beads made by an American Artist from 'New Clay'. Each one is different, no two ever alike and once series is gone the beads are unrepeatable. They are flat, which makes a wonderful surface for the fingers to rest upon in prayer and meditation, making this rosary very prayable. Each Pater bead is capped with antiqued filligrees. WE CHOSE HARD TO FIND, OLD

1 The clear vault of the sky shines forth like heaven itself, a vision of glory. 2. The orb of the sun, resplendent at its rising: what a wonderful work of the Most High! 3 At noon it seethes the surface of the earth, and who can bear its fiery heat? 4 Like a blazing furnace of solid metal, it sets the mountains aflame with its rays; By its fiery darts the land is consumed; the eyes are dazzled by its light. 5 Great indeed is the LORD who made it, at whose orders it urges on its steeds ... |

'NEW CLAY' is a type of Polymer clay used in jewelry and beadmaking. Wiki shares: "The history of polymer clay as an art medium is only decades long, unlike many media that have been around for centuries and have long traditions. This newness means that there is a great deal of innovation by users of polymer clay. Often, ideas are born by borrowing from the traditions of some other materials, such as metalworking (mokume-gane), ceramics, glass (millefiori, lampwork), paper, etc. There also is extensive derivation inside the medium itself, as the attributes of this accessible medium lend themselves to sharing and copying." + Wiki goes on to say that Polymer art jewelry is now part of permanent collections in the Museum of Art and Design in New York, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Racine Museum, among others. + IS IT WEARABLE? Most Polymer clays remain soft until cured at relatively low temperatures, and may be cured in home ovens (265 to 275 °F), for about 15 minutes per 1/4" (6 mm) of thickness. It does not shrink. change texture and remains tough over years of use. |
