SEMI-PRECIOUS STONES
- FROM THE DEEPS OF THE EARTH
Taking on the
very essence of the earth stones themselves, rosaries made from these gems
are often strung in their natural form as chunks or chips. We picture
the desert fathers using these pebbles, but unlike ours, their counting
stones were probably unstrung and kept in a leather pouch!

You will also
find jade in many colors including pink grapefruit. Baltic amber, faceted
carnelian, rutilated quartz, lapiz with pyrite, faceted labradorite, faceted
red tigereye, turquoise in glorious chunks with pyrite and carved turquoise
are a few of the stones we have included. And soon to be added, iolite,

Inspired by the words spolen by Christ on the Sea of Galilee.
Aves are a mossy,
seagreen, no two alike. Paters are slabs of watermellon tourmaline,
very rare and
very beautiful in their natural form.

Flourite is a very interesting stone, loved by many over the
centuries for its rare qualities.
Fluorite occurrs in a variety of colors, including colorless,
green, blue, purple, magenta, pink
and yellow. Here it is a combination of several shades
of purple and green.

The beauty of these Ave beads is that they appear to be a glassy sea caught in motion as each bead is a little different color. Sides are matted granite, reminding us of a rocky shore line. The Sea of Galilee is the site of Jesus' words, 'Take Courage'. |
