 EXQUISITE ANTIQUE/VINTAGE ROSEBUD BEADS
Rosebud beads have been made for rosaries for very long time. We have been fortunate to find a beautiful collection of antique 8 and 9 mm rosebud beads from Germany (Gablonz) and Czechoslovakia. There is also a selection of 'old man' beads in varigated colors. The latter group has been pressed from vintage/antique glass cane(20s-30s). Selection very limited.

BENEDICT'S GARDEN - THE 'ROSARY'
   Latter part of the 4th century, the OUR FATHER  became an official part of the Mass.  St. Benedict planted a monastic rose garden called a 'Rosary'.  In his Holy Rule, he teaches the desert monks to pray the 150 Psalms every day. He arranges the Psalms so that all 150  of the Psalter of David are recited in 7 days. This became the Divine Office (Breviary) that priests and religious have recited every day for centuries.

FROM PSALTER OF OUR LADY - TO ROSE GARDEN PATHS
In the 13th century, a long 150 bead ‘Psalter of Our Lady' (Ave's on the Pater Noster beads) became popular. In the mid 1550's it formed a circle and was called a ‘rosarium' or ‘rose garden'. A pendant of beads ending in a cross, now hang from the circle. This is called the ‘garden path' or ‘gateway to the rose garden'. To enter into the garden path, it was traditional during the Victorian Era to kiss the key (crucifix) and make the sign of the cross which opened the gate to the pathway (Pendant area) to the rosarium (circle of beads) or 'Mary's Garden'.

Paters are fine, clear but very pale blue faceted Czech. -  Antique glass beads, over 60 - 70 years old. Seat of Wisdom, pray for us!
	incredible prices for these hard to find old rosebuds  TOWER of  IVORY  III - RMG.2409 amethyst/white - Made of precious 8mm crystal antique rosebuds from Gablonz . Rosebuds are 'pressed beads'. (Hot glass pressed in molds, originally made one bead at a time.) Pater beads - a very delicate lt rose facet. Antique glass beads, over 60 years old. Tower of Ivory, pray for us!

And she loved him totally!  Pressed from antique glass cane (1920s) Very limited. 	antique rosebud beads - limited ARK of the COVENANT II - RMG.2415  pale blue - a very soft pale blue rose bud bead.  This bead reminds one that Mary is called the New Ark of the Covenant, the New Eve.  She carried the promise in her womb. 	antique beads - unable to replace GATE of  HEAVEN  III - RMG.2416  white/amy/gold - a powerful and very popular rosary of antique creamy white beads washed in amethyst and gold, appearing to reflect the beauty of the heavenlies. These beads are almost gone. Formed individually from antique glass bead molds over 50 years ago - very limited, unable to replace Gate of Heaven, pray for us!
	antique rosebud beads - limited VESSEL of  HONOR II - RMG.2417 teal blue - soft matted teal blue antique glass rosebud beads are from before the 50s when beads were individually pressed in glass bead molds.  Matted spacers with a soft facet gives life to the rosebud.  Soft colors play of the surface in magentas, emeralds, teals, mossy topaz and violets.  Limited.  Vessel of Honor pray for us!
	very very limited - unable to replace MORNING STAR III - RMG.2418 blue/violet/terracotta -A very limited antique glass rosebud bead.  A rare combination of colors that only God can paint in the early morning sky at the breaking of a new dawn. Never to be repeated. Pressed from antique glass cane (1920s)  very limited.  We were told that these beads were called 'Old Man Beads' As they were made from old cane, formed in old molds by an old man. Morning Star, pray for us!
	very very limited - unable to replace COMFORTER of AFFLICTED  III - RMG.2419  dusty rose/lavendar blue - Exquisite old rosebuds that give comfort to the eyes and soul! Color ranges from dusty rose to a hint of lavendar blue - very Victorian. Pressed from antique glass cane (1920s)  We were told that these beads were called 'Old Man Beads' As they were made from old cane, formed in old molds by an old man. Paters are antique 'Picasso Beads' probably from Austria. Comforter of the Afflicted, pray for us!
	antique rosebud beads - limited WELLSPRING of  PEACE - RWSP.2420 blue/cream varigated - the prayer above is so powerful for today, as the world is afflicted so deeply with unrest, terrorism, war, disease and changing weather patterns everywhere. Pray that Mary covers us with her mantle of protection against evil and destruction and teaches us peace. And to pray for those who seek to destroy peace. Antique (1950's Gablonz) glass beads indiidually formed in glass bead molds. Wellspring of Peace, pray for us!

of Guadalupe is present on this rosary.  There is a wonderful center
of Our lady of Guadlupe with a crucifix surrounded by angels.

~ THE NEW EVE  ~

MARY AS THE 'NEW EVE'.
The 3rd century church called Mary the ‘new eve'. She is involved in the prophetic word given in the Garden of Eden which also contained the ‘Tree of Life' whose fruit is her son, Jesus. She is addressed as 'woman' in the first and last book of Scripture. This is also the way Jesus addressed his mother and is a title of honor.
